How It Works
Tell us what you need
Complete a childcare request with your location, dates and what you’re looking for. Whether you need a babysitter, nanny, wedding childcare, holiday childcare, emergency help or something else, tell us what would make life easier. If you’re not quite sure what you need, that’s fine too.
We find the right match.
Pay your booking fee and we'll search our local network for a childcare provider who matches your family's needs. Every provider goes through our approval process, including identity checks, references and DBS verification. You'll always see your childcare provider's hourly rate before deciding whether to confirm your booking.
Confirm your booking
Once we’ve found a suitable match, we’ll send you the details by email. If you’re happy to go ahead, simply confirm the booking with us. Your childcare provider can then introduce themselves and, where appropriate, arrange any pre-booking conversation or meeting.
Enjoy your time
Relax knowing your childcare is sorted. After the booking, you’ll be able to leave feedback and come back to Borrow A Village whenever you need us again. You and your provider will confirm the hours worked, and we’ll handle the provider payment securely - no awkward cash payments or admin for you.
